''...a spacious drone of pulses and incantations over layers of shivering synthesizer tracks that feel like panoramic immersion in a gritty and strobed Berlin factory sound installation, while Lee’s vocals culled from the catalogue of classic 4AD.''
''....An outtake from the Roadhouse sessions in Twin Peaks - Lee’s voice glistening out over an ocean of reverb, synth pop slow dancing, and distant industrial keyboard whirrs. (..) ‘Fountain Of Myrrh’ has them caught in a stasis of tidal synth motions and key washes, and opener ‘Selfhate’ is a ritualistic meditation of wordless errs and booms that gradually blossoms over three mindful minutes.''
NNHMN - the project of Lee and Michal Laudarg.
They embarked on a mutual sonic journey at the thresholds of modern theatre and techno.
After relocating from Warsaw to Berlin, they set further the tales of psychic and geographical estrangement to post-industrial music which mirrors unique inner mythology being born from the loss and escape of one place to the retreat and decay of another.
-Second Castle- a release from NNHMN is a journey into a murky ambience, throbbing post-techno beats and drone-like melodies.
The dense, shape-shifting atmospheres of the five songs grew out of late-night experiments in the layering of synthesizer tracks, a process that also led to meditations on the unstoppable nature of change.
Throughout the last two years, the duo is trying to find their own sonic vocabulary drawing from gritty synths sounds and spacey ambient which drifts towards merciless and calm Lustmord's country.
There is also a dubby version of "Love is dead" available as a hidden, additional track.
Special thanks to dancer and performance artist Karol Tyminski for the inspiration for "Broken Poems" track based on samples from his lyrics.
